Welcome to Etang de Janine, our well stocked lake boasts 14 well spaced swims that accommodate a maximum of 10 anglers per week. We have stocked over 100 Target fish to the original stock, keeping a careful eye on the balance, while we want to keep runs at a maximum, we need to keep the echo balance on track, this we feel we have acheived as growth rates have been prolific! In conjunction with this we have removed over 3 tonnes of smaller fish to help boost the growth rates of our hungry Carp. Every year the fishery just gets better and better, Feb 2008 we installed a new kitchen - shower unit to give more comfort for our guests, making us a real home from home for the traveling angler We pride ourselves in forming a mature venue that is set in a very rural part of France, not the typical muddy hole in the ground. The fishery has seen very little pressure over the years and still holds that special air of mystery. The bigges fish out in 2008 stands at 49.00lb a mirror that fell to James Cobb of JCTours, James carefully placed a bait over a known hot spot which accounted for a dozen lumps for James in the week, again proving the margins are not to be ignored! Two Dutch lads who fished the week before that managed 25 Carp, the biggest was 46lb with several other fish to around the same weight, Leathers, Mirrors and Commons were all taken using an imported boilie from Holland! Even the Cats were having some of it as they managed one each in the week, We will keep this page updated reguarly, so keep an eye open for changes to this page. Etang de Janine produces high forties on a regular basis and we are watching to see if the current lake record of 53.08lbs will be broken this year, a bottle of champange is on ice awaiting that capture!! The lake is feature packed including; numerous bars and gullies, weed beds, plateaus, boulders as well as reed and tree lined margins. A marker rod if not two!! is a must when you come here, a real anglers lake. |
